Feel like your election night viewing party might be missing something? The polls are well underway, but there's still time to snag a politically charged piñata to get you through the evening.
If you'd rather not leave your home or office, Trump-Pinata.com has you covered—for the next couple of hours, at least. Through the site, local resident David C. is selling and delivering Trump piñatas on-demand, with proceeds going to support victims of the Syrian refugee crisis.

David C. says he's always joked about the idea of delivering the piñatas. But in the past few weeks, he decided to give it a go to help "lighten the mood" on this tense day.
The 32-inch piñatas were made by an artist in Mexico, and bulk-ordered from pinatas.com. He whipped up a website using Shopify, which allows for on-demand delivery within the Bay Area through Shyp and UberRush.
Orders have been picking up over the past two days, and David C. says he's on track to sell out by early afternoon today. Deliveries are currently being fulfilled in less than one hour.
Trump-Pinata.com's piñatas are $45 each (down from the original $88 price tag). David C. says all profits will be donated to the International Rescue Committee, which offers healthcare and relocation services to Syrian refugees. He chose to support the organization after learning that 50 families are forced to flee Syria every day hour.

Looking to get your hands on more than just a Trump look-alike? David C. recommends stopping by Casa Bonampak at 1501 Valencia (between 21st and 22nd).
There, owner Nancy Charraga still has an array of political piñatas, including a 'What Top Secret Emails?' Clinton piñata, a Hillary 2016 star piñata and a now-discounted Bernie Sanders piñata. Her Devil Trump piñata is sold out, but the bestselling standard Trump piñata is still available, Charraga said.
The Trump piñatas were handmade by an artist in Mexico, and Charraga says they weren't easy to import into the U.S.
As 50 shipments of Trump piñatas were trucked across the Mexico-Texas border, she says a customs official told the delivery service that Trump was no longer admitting items bearing his image into the States. Should they bring the piñatas across the border, he said, they would be destroyed. (We couldn't find any evidence of such a ban, or a legal precedent for one; Charraga believes that the customs official was likely a Trump supporter.)
When she explained the issue to the piñatas' creator, Charraga says he told her not to worry. He stapled the hair back and added a beard to each piñata, and relabeled the boxes "Southern Preacher." The gambit worked, and the piñatas made it to the States.

Piñatas aren't the only items of election swag Casa Bonampak has to offer. Charraga says the 20-year-old, family-run business—which is the last Mexican folk art shop on Valencia Street—still has plenty of political gear in stock, from 'Make America Gay Again' hats and Trump toilet paper to 'Feel The Bern' banners. All of it is currently discounted.
For those planning to stop by, Casa Bonampak is open until 8pm tonight.
