In with a roar, out with a whimper.

Such is the case with the former Lion Pub (2062 Divisadero St.), which closed last October after spending nearly a half century nestled on the southeastern corner of Divisadero and Sacramento streets.

As SocketSite reported yesterday, the Pacific Heights Victorian that housed the former pub has sold for $3.5 million (a cool $1 million below the price listed at the end of 2016).

Although we don't yet know what's being planned for the space (which includes two full-floor flats over the bar), one thing is certain: a bar won’t be opening up anytime soon at 2062 Divisadero St., as the pub’s liquor license wasn’t included in the property sale.

As we leave you to ponder the what-ifs, here are some photos of the property, including a ghostly interior shot of the once-bustling bar.
