American eatery Mo’z Cafe is expanding to Geary and Masonic, in the space recently vacated by five-year-old eatery The Corner Store.

This will be Mo'z Cafe’s third location; it also has restaurants on 5th Street in SoMa and in Daly City.

“There aren’t many breakfast and lunch options in this area,” owner Mo told us. “We wanted to bring in a cozy restaurant, where people can come and hang out and eat good food in the neighborhood.”

The Masonic location will have all the same offerings as the other two spots, with bagels, pancakes, and benedicts for breakfast and sandwiches, salads, and burgers at lunch. Diners can also expect a few new dishes; Mo said the new location's menu will “be a little bigger,” since it's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (The SoMa location is only open for breakfast and lunch.)

When we spoke with him this morning, Mo said he's hoping to open the new restaurant in mid-April.

“I was looking around for a location for a while,” Mo said. “Not all locations are the same, and I feel like I got lucky with this place, to create a really homey spot for families and friends to eat.”
