Muni Metro service was delayed around 1pm today when a train stalled on the line outside Van Ness Station, prompting an evacuation on foot through the tunnel.
One commuter captured and posted footage of the excursion on Twitter.

According to the MTA's Twitter updates, the train was cleared roughly 20 minutes later, and shuttle buses were deployed to keep commuters moving.
Delays are expected to continue on inbound and outbound lines through the afternoon as regular service resumes, the agency has advised.
UPDATE: Bus shuttles will remain in place to support #MuniMetro service. Expect switch backs as we work to correct svc in both directions.
