Early this morning, three residents were displaced after a one-alarm fire in the Mission.

SFFD responded to reports of a fire at 372 Capp Street at 1:46am. As more than six firetrucks arrived and residents were evacuated, officials restricted access to Capp between 18th and 19th Streets until the fire was extinguished.

Three residents were displaced, receiving assistance from the American Red Cross for emergency lodging, food, and other incidentals. The Red Cross also provided comfort kits for the residents.

By 1:51am, firefighters had contained the fire. No injuries resulted, and the building retained moderate damage.

SFFD is currently investigating the cause of the fire. At the scene, one resident said he believed the blaze started in an upstairs bathroom.
