Health-conscious Union Street eatery Lite Bite has debuted a second location downtown, bringing its selection of smoothies, salads, hot entrees and more to the weekday lunch crowd.
The newcomer to the Financial District is located inside the Mills Building at 220 Bush St. (between Sansome St. & Treasury Pl.).
Open since mid-August, the location offers an array of hearty dishes reimagined with a healthier approach, including turkey meatballs and lasagna, as well as sides like mashed cauliflower, grilled polenta, whole wheat mac 'n' cheese and chicken pesto pasta. A wide range of salads and veggie-based sides round out the menu, and nutritional information for each dish is readily available. (See the full menu here.)
Lite Bite has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Dan V., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 22nd, said: "Lite Bite is the perfect place to grab really tasty & healthy lunches or a gourmet dinner to go when I don't have time to cook! Sometimes I like to stop in for a cold pressed juice or smoothie."
Yelper Ahmad J. added: “Lite Bite is a newly opened gourmet prepared food market that provides convenient access to healthy food. As suggested by its name it delivers lighter and healthier versions of classics."
Head on over to check it out: Lite Bite is open weekdays from 10:30am–4:30pm. (It's closed on weekends.)
