A man was seriously injured and six people displaced after a one-alarm fire at 376 Harvard St. (near Burrows) in Portola. 

Firefighters arrived at the scene at 1:55am, where they discovered the second floor of the building on fire. 

Responding units also found a 17-year-old male teenager escaping the flames. He told the firefighters that his parents were still inside and gave them specific directions to where they were.

Firefighters entered the building and found the woman, carrying her to the bottom floor, where she was able to escape the building. They also located the boy's father, who was unconscious in the midst of the flames.

SFFD contained the fire by 2:12am. The man remains in critical condition, with the woman and the teenager sustaining moderate injuries.

Six people were displaced, five adults and the teenager. The Red Cross was also on the scene and provided care and housing.
