If pizza are what you're after, look no further than this new business. Located at 1706 W Foster Ave. in Andersonville, the newcomer is called Fat Chris's Pizza and Such.
This new pizza joint specializes in Detroit-style and traditional hand-tossed pies, with an array of toppings to choose from.
Signature pies include "The Goods," with pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers and more; a buffalo chicken pie with green peppers and onions; and "The Samoan" with BBQ sauce, Canadian bacon, pineapple and more. You can also build your own pie with a variety of toppings on offer.
Not in the mood for a whole pizza? There's calzones and stromboli as well, or you can come for the lunch buffet, offered daily from 11am–2pm, and grab a slice or two. (You can check out the full menu here.)
With a 4.5-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp so far, Fat Chris's has been warmly received by patrons.
Nick S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 27th, said: "First timer at Fat Chris's Pizza. I was working from home yesterday and had a taste for a quick slice of pizza for lunch. I decided to give these guys a try. I ordered a sausage and jalapeno slice."
Yelper Kim N. added: “Welcome to the neighborhood, Fat Chris's Pizza and Such. I saw this place opening up for a few weeks now. I have been wanting to try this place for a while now since it serves Detroit-style pizza.”
And Mike S. said: "Tried Fat Chris's tonight and dang! I'm a huge fan of Detroit-style pizza. This is right up there with Jet's Pizza. It's like if Little Caesar's had quality ingredients and you would have Fat Chris's."
