'Mr. Fu Kitchen' Brings Chinese Cuisine Back To Noe StreetPhoto: Shane Downing/Hoodline

If you're a Castro resident who appreciates Chinese food, you're in luck; Mr. Fu Kitchen has opened at 335 Noe St. between Market and 17th.

The space was formerly occupied by House of Chen, which, after 28 years, closed in August when its owners retired. It didn't take long for another Asian eatery — Mr. Fu Kitchen — to open in the same space. The new restaurant is currently celebrating its grand opening.

Like House of Chen, Mr. Fu's has an extensive menu of stir-fries, noodle dishes, soups and standbys like General Tso chicken, Mongolian beef and ma po tofu. (You can check out the complete menu here.)

The restaurant also offers a daily lunch special: all plates are priced below $9. Whereas there is plenty of seating available, Mr. Fu's does delivery and take-out.

John H., a Hoodline tipster, wrote to say Mr. Fu Kitchen's "prices look good and it's cleaned up. I haven't tried it yet, but a another good reasonably priced restaurant in the Castro is badly needed."

Mr. Fu Kitchen is open weekdays from 11–9:30pm and on Friday and Saturday until 10pm, noon to 9:30pm on Sunday.

Thank you to Glenn S., John H. and David D. for keeping us in the loop!
