Hungry? A new neighborhood juice bar and smoothie spot has you covered. Located at 1324 W 18th St. (between Blue Island Ave & Loomis St) in the Lower West Side, the new addition is called The Juice House.

The Juice House specializes in an array of juices, smoothies, and drinks made with kava, a root popular with Pacific Islanders for its calming and relaxing properties.

On the menu, expect to see items like curated seasonal juices featuring sweet potato, apple, banana and special spice blends. Smoothies include the "Avocado Joy," with banana, matcha, agave and coconut milk; "Curious George," with blueberry, banana, agave, coconut milk and peanut butter; and "The Healer," with mango, turmeric, ginger, banana, cinnamon and coconut milk.

The Juice House has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Claudia M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 2nd, said: "I'm not the healthiest eater in the world but I love juice and smoothies. I just happened to run into Alicia on a Wednesday afternoon while she was passing out some delicious green smoothie samples. I was so excited to know about this new healthy lunch option for me."

Yelper Xochitl M. added: “Ordered 'The Healer' smoothie and it was delicious! Full of flavor and the turmeric was spot on! Will definitely come back again! Support local business!”

And Doug G. said: "Great variety of amazing drinks along with very friendly service. My wife and I both loved it."
