The popular Holiday Brass concert is back! Feel the power and precision of the San Francisco Symphony brass section as they fill the Hall with a festive mix of classical and popular holiday favorites—a thrilling performance sure to lift your spirits.There’s nothing quite like a bright, bold section of horns, trumpets, and trombones to get you in a festive mood.

The Holiday Brass program, curated by Principal Trombone Tim Higgins, features an array of holiday favorites—classical, sacred, and popular—all dedicated to celebrating the season, as well as some unexpected surprises.

Higgins says, “the Holiday Brass concert is a unique opportunity to hear the San Francisco Symphony players showcase their virtuosity. If you’ve never heard a brass ensemble concert before, this will blow your mind.”

With Thanksgiving in the rear view, it's a sprint to the end of 2017 with plenty of festivities along the way.

Tonight, jump right into the spirit of the season with a holiday-themed art walk along Divisadero and the Westfield SF Centre's lighting ceremony for its upside-down tree

On Friday, former President Bill Clinton is in town to commemorate World AIDS Day in Golden Gate Park, Pier 39 is hosting a winter party with music and wine, and the EXIT Theater is firing up a zombie-themed holiday burlesque show.

Choose from one of three charity races on Saturday morning in Aquatic Park before heading to a free ice-skating session at the Embarcadero holiday ice rink, a film festival benefiting veterans at the Main Public Library and an Italian-themed Christmas market at Ft. Mason. Later in the day, you can enjoy caroling from a cable car or jump on Caltrain for a community toy drive.

Wrap it up on Sunday with another family-friendly run in Golden Gate Park and SF Bicycle Coalition's largest party of the year in the FiDi.
