A new Italian spot, offering pizza and sandwiches, has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Buona, the new arrival is located at 613 N McClurg Ct. in Streeterville.
Buona—which has other locations throughout the greater Chicago area—specializes in Italian beef sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and more.
On the menu, expect to see items like the Buona Italian beef with roasted peppers and cheese; a beef sandwich combo with Italian sausage, meatballs and marinara; and a breakfast sandwich with scrambled egg, parmesan cheese and peppers. Or opt for one of a variety of burgers, like a pretzel bacon burger and an avocado jack burger with jalapeños.
There's pizza on offer as well, with pies like "Arugula Verduro" with mushroom and artichokes and a BBQ chicken pizza with chopped tomatoes. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Buona has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Jamie M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 3rd, said: "We had a great time at their soft opening! The baptized Italian Beef sandwiches were on point and the Chicago hot dog was fantastic!"
Yelper Jackie H. added: “This review is based on the soft opening tonight. Thank you for the invite, and we had a great experience. The manager and staff were all very eager and excited to open this place."
And Joy W. said: "Great and professional service! And the meatballs are AMAZING!"
