If you've got traditional American food on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Flammin, the new addition is located at 641 E 75th St. (between Champlain Ave. & Langley Ave.) in Grand Crossing.
This new spot features a variety of creative takes on traditional American breakfast and lunch comfort food, with some soul food influences.
On the menu, expect to see items like a French toast sandwich with egg, cheese and a choice of meat; shrimp and grits; pork or turkey "ribs and tips" with fries or spaghetti; a tuna melt; mustard catfish; and more.
It's still early days for the fledgling business—it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.
Alexis B., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on October 25th, said: "Flammin Restaurant is a modern cuisine restaurant that has a distinctive ambiance, taste, and and customer service that defines the importance of quality."
And Yelper Patricia C. wrote: "Amazing food! Amazing staff! Great atmosphere! Try the mustard catfish and the chicken nachos!"
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Flammin Restaurant & Co is open Monday–Thursday from 7am–7pm and Friday, and Saturday from 7am–10pm. (It's closed on Sunday.)
