A new juice bar and smoothie spot, offering bubble tea and coffee, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located at 1242 N Milwaukee Ave. (between Ashland Ave. & Mautene Ct.) in Wicker Park, the new addition is called Hot Shots Cafe.
This new café features a variety of coffee drinks, milk teas, desserts and baked goods, as well as healthy lunch options.
For drinks, expect to see an array of hot and cold coffee mainstays like lattes, americanos, and mochas, along with lavender, brown rice, and taro milk teas. You can add chia seeds, tapioca, and jellies to drinks, too.
On the food menu, look for spring rolls with grilled chicken or shrimp; salads with chicken, shrimp, or seared tuna; and spinach wraps with Caesar dressing and a choice of protein.
Rounding things out are a variety of fruit smoothies, and a few desserts like tiramisu, milkshakes, and croissant ice cream. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Hot Shots Cafe has just one review on Yelp, which gives it a four-star rating thus far.
Cassandra A., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on November 7th, said: "Came this morning with my fiancée for a coffee and the staff was super friendly, menu was varied, place was welcoming, and and my latte was very good!"
