Looking to chow down on some New American fare? A new spot has you covered. Located at 1655 W Cortland St. (between Paulina St. & Marshfield Ave.) in Bucktown, the new addition is called Mable's Table.
Named after proprietor Anthony Reyes' mother, Mable's Table specializes in elevated American comfort food, with an array of starters, sides, entrees and more.
On the starters menu, expect to see items like beef carpaccio, a country ham and cheese board, and "Mae's Famous Meatballs."
The entree list of "Mable's favorites" includes slow-roasted prime rib, lemon rosemary brick chicken, St. Louis BBQ pork ribs, and grilled oysters. There's also king crab with kimchi, blackened shrimp tacos, and sides like grilled asparagus and jalapeño hash browns. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Mable's Table has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Cassandra A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 19th, said: "Went tonight for date night and really liked it. The food was a 4.2-4.4, but the service was outstanding, so I'm going with 5 stars. The ambiance is dimly lit, warm, and laid-back."
