A new candy store has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Sugarly, the new arrival is located at 1368 1/2 East 53rd St. in Hyde Park.
Housed in the former Z Berry frozen yogurt shop, this new spot features an array of hard-to-find artisanal candies, bean-to-bar chocolates, and some boozy delectables like champagne gummies and rosé lollipops. You'll also find a variety of nostalgic candies reminiscent of childhood, with a pick-and-mix option based on weight.
With a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far, Sugarly seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Ebonique W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 7th, said: "Customer service was amazing! I tried the rosé and prosecco gummies and the rosé lollipops (I love champagne). They were well worth the search and beyond delicious. I can't wait to go back."
Yelper Miki A. added: “What a variety! I came in with thoughts of gummy bears and old-school candy from childhood, but left with so much more! The shelves are lined with some brands I'd never heard of."
