A new cocktail and sports bar has opened for business in the neighborhood. The fresh arrival to River North, called Point & Feather, is located at 113 W Hubbard St.
This new spot is the latest creation from Pearl Tavern and Son of a Butcher restauranteur Adolfo Garcia. It specializes in elevated pub fare, and features 12 dartboards throughout the space.
On the menu, expect to see starters like Gulf shrimp with creamy grits, or beer cheese with pretzel chips; entrees include "Amish Chicken" with potato purée, a bacon burger, or pork belly with potato-mushroom ragout. There's a variety of sides to round things out, like Brussels sprouts, fries, and onion rings.
Signature cocktails are on offer as well, like the "Vesper Lynd" with Ford’s gin, Absolut vodka, and Lillet blanc, and the "Queen of Thorns" with Beefeater gin, pineapple, lemon, and dried rose. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Point & Feather has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Tony M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 3rd, said: "Lisa was amazing. I was a frequent visitor of Mercer 113 and will continue to visit the new concept. Great service."
Yelper Naywri W. added: “Another one by the restaurant interior designer AdoIfo Garcia. I had the lamb bao, which included lamb belly, mint chimichurri and peanuts, and their homemade chips. Both were good."
And S A. said: "My boyfriend and I came for their launching event and we had an amazing time. Our bartender Lisa was amazing and super attentive. She had a great attitude and energy and never let my glass go dry."
