A new Italian spot, offering pasta and pizza, has debuted in the neighborhood. The newcomer to the Magnificent Mile, called Vapiano, is located at 58 E Ontario St. (between Fairbanks Ct. & McClurg Ct.)
Vapiano—which has locations throughout the globe—specializes in fast-casual Italian fare.
On the pasta menu, expect to see dishes like pomodoro, pesto rosso, salmon carbonara, chicken alfredo and more.
Switching over to pizzas, look for pies like the "Diavolo" with pepperoni salami, bell peppers, red onions and pepperoncini; and the "Capricciosa" with Italian ham, fresh mushrooms, artichokes and black olives.
And rounding things out with dessert, there is tiramisù, panna cotta, chocolate mousse, and more. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Vapiano has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Adriana L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 26th, said: "This place is different and interesting. Pizza was soooooo good. You have to try this place."
Yelper Shevelle E. added: “Enjoyed specialty drinks (Aperol Spritz), pizza (pepperoni and sausage) hot from the oven, and different types of pasta and salad. A great place to bring your family and friends.”
And Naywri W. said: "This is bigger than their second location. I had the margherita pizza and ravioli con carne."
