According to Officer Giselle Linnane with SFPD's Media Relations Unit, the body of an adult male was discovered by a passerby at 7:23am yesterday.
The deceased person, whose name was not released, is believed to have taken his own life.
This morning, police are investigating the discovery of a body in Golden Gate Park's Fuschia Dell, a grove fronted by Conservatory Drive East and JFK Drive located east of the Conservatory of Flowers.
"As of right now," a representative of SFPD's Media Relations Unit said the department is not releasing any details about the cause of death or whether the area is considered a crime scene.
