Global women's clothing brand Brandy Melville has come to Union Square, at 200 Powell St. (between O'Farrell St. & Geary St.) in the central shopping district.
With locations around the globe, including another outpost in the Marina at 2085 Chestnut St., the company specializes in young women's apparel—controversially offering most clothing in a single, small "one-size-fits-most" size. It also supplies various department stores and individual stores across 22 states.
Expect to see signature looks from the Italian clothier, like basic tops, tanks, fleece, bodysuits, denim, sweaters, dresses, outerwear and more, along with accessories like jewelry, hats, bags, and belts. (You can check out a full selection of clothing and styles here.)
With a three-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Brandy Melville has gotten a mixed response from clientele.
Kristy T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on December 17th, said: "My first Brandy Melville! Where to start: I was going inside to look at the all the clothes and they really had huge variety of crop tops, sweaters, and jackets and more. The store has two floors and was a bit packed when I was there, but that wasn't any problem for me, since the clothes were all super cute and all one size fits all, which is perfect for me."
Yelper James S. added: “Spotted this new location opening up. It's new, shiny, and fully loaded. Two stories and much bigger than the Marina location."
And Robert M. said: "The girls in my family are so happy there's a downtown store! Shop girls are really helpful."
