Sam's Smoke Shop at 250 Divisadero St. (and Haight) is closing after losing its lease, but it will relocate to a new spot further north on Divisadero in Lower Pacific Heights.

When we visited the current location, owner Jouni—who did not give us his surname—said that the new location at 1838 Divisadero is slightly bigger.

He said that Sam's has been in the Haight for 18 years, but the landlord no longer wanted a smoke shop in the location and declined to renew the lease.

"I don't want to leave the neighborhood," he said as he dealt with customers. The current shop will close on December 23rd.

Already in business, the new location is in the former Lucky 7 smoke shop at Divisadero and Pine streets.

It offers vape pens, electronic cigarettes, pipes, cigarettes, cigars, lighters and other smoking utensils, as it does in the current location. It will also provide the same service and hours as the current location.

There's no word on what will be heading to 250 Divisadero St. next.
