A new spot to score bubble tea and more has debuted in the neighborhood. Called My Cup of Tea, the newcomer is located at 2666 Ocean Ave. (between 19th Ave. & Lagunitas Dr.) in Merced Manor.

This newcomer—located at the former Chef Gao Restaurant space which closed earlier this year—features a variety of milk and bubble teas from popular tea purveyor, Cool Tea Bar.

Each drink is customizable with varying levels of sweetness, along with add-ins like lychee jelly, red bean, coffee jelly, and aloe vera.

Look for drinks like pearl or jasmine milk tea, kumquat or mango green tea, grass jelly roasted milk tea, and taro milk tea.

My Cup of Tea has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Tiffany C., one of the first Yelpers to write a review, said My Cup of Tea "definitely didn't disappoint! I absolutely love the wide open space."

“I ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba, really good!" wrote Yelper Elaine Y. "Really fragrant tea, and the boba was chewy, a little hard but acceptable. There are levels of sweetness you can choose, and there are two sizes, regular for $4.50 or large for $5."

My Cup of Tea is open daily from 11am–8pm.
