Here's an overview of notable incidents reported around the Castro since our last crime roundup.

All reports come from the police department's daily recaps, unless otherwise noted.

Ford Street Assault, Robbery

On January 18th between 6:54pm and 7:05pm, a 31-year-old woman was walking near Sanchez and Ford when an unknown male suspect approached her and attempted to grab a bag from her shoulder. The suspect then pushed the victim to the ground and punched her before stealing her bag, containing clothing and a watch, and fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and no arrest was made.

Robber Arrested After Stealing Phone, Fleeing In Cab

On January 17th at 1:54am, two men, 60 and 31, were talking near 18th and Castro when the older man pushed the younger man against a pole and held him while going through his pockets. The suspect stole the victim's phone and ran into a nearby cab before fleeing.

A witness called the SFPD and gave them a description of the cab, which led to a successful arrest and recovery of the victim's phone.

Twin Peaks Mugger Assaults, Robs Two Victims

On January 15th at 10:15pm, a 45-year-old woman and 26-year-old man were assaulted and mugged at the corner of Twin Peaks Blvd and Burnett Ave. An unknown male suspect approached them before punching both victims and grabbing the woman's handbag and fleeing on foot. Both victims were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and no arrest was made.

Teen Suspect Steals Phone

On January 9th at 8:30pm, a 64-year-old man was walking near Church and 14th when a male teenager, 16-17, approached him from behind. The younger man grabbed the victim and a struggle ensued. The suspect took the victim's phone and fled. No arrest was made and the victim was uninjured.

Neighbor Tip Leads To Burglar's Arrest

On January 7th at 6:15am, a 44-year-old male suspect got into the building of a 43-year-old resident on 20th near Dolores. A neighbor alerted police, who soon arrived and arrested the suspect. No loss was reported.

Thief Forces Open Garage, Steals Drone

Later on the 7th at 11:50pm, a 30-year-old woman awoke to discover that she was a victim of a burglar at her residence on Duboce near Sanchez. An unknown suspect had forced the garage open and stolen tools and a drone. No arrest was made.
