A new bar and sports club has debuted in the neighborhood. Called The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club, the new addition is located at 1750 N. Milwaukee Ave. (between Wabansia Ave. and N. Leavitt St.) in Wicker Park.

The walk-in shuffleboard club rents out their regulation-sized courts while offering tropical drinks, a rotating cast of food trucks and a mix of oversized and traditional board games.

On its website, The Royal Palms also touts a DJ and roof deck. This new spot is only for the 21-and-over crowd.

The newcomer has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Bob R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 26th, said, "This theme bar takes, of all things, shuffleboard to new heights. Their space is large, with a nicely stocked cocktail bar, and games galore aside from shuffleboard...The bar is very well-appointed with bartenders who are fun, and who know what they are doing."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club is open Monday–Thursday from 5pm–midnight, Friday from 5pm–2am, and Saturday from noon–2am. (It's closed on Sunday.)
