The city's popping with activities this weekend, so get ready to be outside and enjoy the crisp spring weather.

Tonight, Aquarium of the Bay presents STRAWS, a documentary that looks at the environmental impact of using 500 million plastic straws every day in the US alone. Also this evening, Gather is holding a candle-making workshop at its Octavia Street shop at 7pm.

If you're superstitious about Friday the 13th, gather some positive energy by volunteering for Great Green Weekend, a two-day event that will spruce up six parks and community gardens, then hone your juggling skills at a $5 open house at Cole Valley's Circus Center.

Get up early on Saturday for a family-friendly scavenger hunt in Chinatown and a playground opening party in the Marina, and that afternoon, split your time  between two celebrations: an all-day festival and parade honoring Cesar Chavez in the Mission, and the opening day of the 51st annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown.

Wind down the weekend with the latest Sunday Streets festival in Bayview, which will offer plenty of music, food and other entertainment along a car-free corridor that spans Third Street from 22nd Street to Carroll Avenue.

Take a look at the list below to find additional things to do in the days ahead.
