A new rustic-modern bar that features food, drinks and entertainment has opened its doors in Fort Lauderdale. Located at 301 S.W. Second St. in the Himmarshee District, the new addition is called #00 Saloon.

The starter menu includes filet mignon wrapped in bacon and topped in bourbon sauce with Parmesan creamed corn. For something lighter, sample the ceviche fish and shrimp, served with tortilla chips.

According to its website, the bar is "a venue of modern country design inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery." True to theme, Wednesday happy hours offer steampunk-inspired cocktails and mixed drinks.

The new bar has gotten off to an uneven start thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.

Dawn N. wrote, "Great new country bar downtown. Brings new life to the street. About time we have some country down there. Food is amazing. Farmhouse burger is out of this world. Staff is friendly and the vibe is great."

#00 Saloon is open from 11 a.m.–4 a.m. from Tuesday-Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
