Now open at 207 NE First St. downtown is Mama Tried, a pub and full-service bar. According to the business' website, the establishment is owned by an eclectic group who "all got together and pitched in what we could to make this neighborhood bar happen."

Yelp reviewer Houston L. had high praise for the bar when he visited June 12: "Five stars because I can't think of one thing I don't love about this bar. Diversity of the crowd was crazy. Vibe and service puts most Miami spots to shame."
