A new bar has opened its doors in downtown Miami. Called Mama Tried, the new arrival is located at 207 N.E. First St.
The business describes itself as an affordable throwback bar and a "quiet spot for happy hour and a rowdy spot for a late night." Stop in Thursdays for live country music. Check out the establishment's Facebook page for any upcoming events.
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has received a warm welcome to the neighborhood.
Houston L., who was among the first Yelpers to review it on June 12, said, "Five stars because I can't think of one thing I don't love about this bar. The diversity of the crowd was crazy. The vibe and service puts most Miami spots to shame. Hopefully it stays that way."
And Danny C. said, "From the second we walked in, we knew we found a new local bar. Very attentive and friendly staff, and the drinks were great! Great job!"
