Mi Lindo Oaxaca
607 N. Willomet Ave., Oak Cliff

Mi Lindo Oaxaca is a Mexican restaurant that, according to the Dallas Observer, was formerly on Fort Worth Avenue in a strip mall.
It's about as authentic as you can get when it comes to Mexican food if the memelita con chapulines (fried masa with Oaxaca cheese and crispy grasshoppers) is any indication. Not every dish requires such culinary bravery, however. You can also score mole negro-smothered chicken, enfrijoladas and tacos. It makes its own tortillas and breads on a daily basis, which are served with its dishes.
It's still early days for Mi Lindo Oaxaca, which only has two reviews on Yelp thus far.
Yelper Alberto M., who reviewed the restaurant on June 26, wrote, "Excellent Mexican food. We ordered a plate called the Oaxacan Basket, which came with everything: grilled beef, pork, chorizo, baby onions, jalapeños, guacamole and the most delicious handmade tortillas. They also gave us Oaxacan margaritas. Everything was delicious!"
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Mi Lindo Oaxaca is open from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 10 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Siete 7 Salsas Taquería
11555 Jupiter Road, Northeast Dallas

Mexican eatery Siete 7 Salsas Taquería serves up tacos, quesadillas, tortas, burritos and more.
On the menu, look for tacos like the Pastorqueso (spicy pork with melted cheese) or the Charro (faijta meat with pico de gallo); all tacos are served with lime, cilantro, diced onion and grilled onion. You can also score a platter, like the guiso de pollo served with rice, beans and tortillas, or a burrito like the chorizo with rice and beans.
Siete 7 Salsas Taquería's current rating of 3.5 stars out of four reviews on Yelp indicates the newcomer is finding its way.
Preston J., who reviewed it on June 27, wrote, "The sauces are fun, tried them all. The corn tortillas were lightly fried, but just a bit too much oil. I like them heated, browned just a little. The meats weren't memorable but the service and experience was."
Yelper Matt L. wrote, "Kind of a hole in the wall looks-wise, but the food is fantastic and that's what's important. Also the staff is super sweet. Highly recommended!"
Siete 7 Salsas Taquería is open from 10 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
Ruins
2653 Commerce St., Deep Ellum

Ruins comes courtesy of the team behind cocktail bar Armoury D.E., and as Eater Dallas reports, it specializes in Mexican and South American food, agave and rum.
On the menu, you'll see choices like the Lengua de Cordero taco (slow-cooked lamb tongue with lime and chile sauce), the El Rey Milanesa torta (beef rib-eye breaded and fried, with refried beans, shredded lettuce, tomato, avocado, onion, Oaxacan cheese and pickled jalapeño) and the Pipian Rojo platter (mole of dried peppers, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and dry spices served over a chicken thigh with smoked poblano and nopal rice).
The bar serves cocktails and beer. House cocktails include the Bocado Caliente (La Caravedo Pisco, pineapple, lime, avocado, chile agave and Tajin) and the Maria Sangrienta (tequila or mezcal, Bloody Mary mix and grasshoppers).
Ruins currently holds 4.5 stars out of 30 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.
Diana M., who reviewed it on May 18, said, "New favorite place. Seriously. This place is the bomb. My little Mexican heart is so happy. This is authentic Mexican food. And not even general Mexican food. This is very much regional."
Krystell C. added, "Great food, strong and phenomenal drinks, colorful decor and the menu selections are both funny and diverse."
Ruins is open from 11 a.m.–2 a.m. daily.
Ceviche 365
11404 N. Stemmons Freeway (inside the Shell gas station), Preston Hollow

Ceviche 365 is a Peruvian spot that features Peruvian ceviche (with red onion, cilantro, sweet potato, yucca and Incan corn), Caribbean ceviche (with cantaloupe, cucumber, pineapple and cilantro) and the classic ceviche (tomato, red onion, green apple and cilantro). Combos are available with tortilla chips and a drink. (See the menu here.)
Ceviche 365's current rating of five stars out of six reviews on Yelp indicates positive feedback from customers.
Yelper Annie S., who reviewed it on July 10, wrote, "Ignore the fact that this place is in a gas station. It is probably the best ceviche I've had in Dallas, and ranks up there with the best ceviche I've had during my travels. We were welcomed and walked through the menu, went with the Peruvian ceviche with fish, spicy. It was made with care and attention and was perfect."
Lisa M. added, "Delicious hole-in-the-wall spot located inside the Shell gas station on the corner. Loved the authentic Peruvian ceviche."
Ceviche 365 is open from 9 a.m.–9 p.m. daily.
