BurgerFi
5456 E. Mockingbird Lane, Lower Greenville

BurgerFi is a quick-service joint that serves up gourmet burgers, hot dogs and shakes.
This is the Florida-based chain's second location in the Metroplex, after the one in Arlington. The interiors are decorated using renewable and sustainable materials. It focuses primarily on burgers, using meat that is hormone and antibiotic free.
Notable burgers include the CEO (double wagyu/brisket blend burger, candied bacon tomato jam, truffle aioli and aged Swiss cheese), the Conflicted Burger (Angus beef, veggie patty, American and white cheddar cheeses, lettuce, tomato and house sauce) and the Breakfast All Day Burger (Angus beef, American cheese, bacon, maple syrup, fried egg, hash brown, grilled onions and ketchup). Round out your meal with some fries or onion rings, then grab a shake, custard or custard float.
With a four-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Ray F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the eatery on June 23, wrote, "Fantastic new place to grab quality burgers and hot dogs. Two items you must have are the red velvet shake and the onion rings!"
And Shanley W. wrote, "You know you're eating a quality and tasty burger when it does not even require condiments! I highly recommend the BurgerFi bacon cheeseburger, hot dog and red velvet shake! The service was impeccable!"

Local Traveler
7522 E. Grand Ave., Lakewood

Local Traveler is an upscale casual eatery and bar. It's next door to The Lot, which is managed by the same people.
The menu includes dishes like the Berkshire Pork Shank with white bean cassoulet; the Poached Ora King Salmon with forbidden rice, cherry tomato stew, radish and balsamic oil; and the Grilled Jidori Chicken with bacon sherry lentils and beurre rouge. It also has salads and small plates.
The bar offers an extensive wine list, including some on tap.
Local Traveler currently holds 3.5 stars out of 17 reviews on Yelp, indicating fair reviews.
Yelper Jack O., who reviewed it on June 18, wrote, "Craft cocktails and good beer selection. Food is good. I don't mind paying for good food. ... I like the vibe. I feel like I'm in the study of some world traveler."
Dena F. added, "It's a travel-themed restaurant. They even bring the check in a little passport thingy. The menu has flavors from all over the world and my Grilled Jidori Chicken was amazing."
Local Traveler is open from 4–11 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 4 p.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 4–10 p.m. on Sunday.
Foxyco
921 N. Riverfront Blvd., Suite 300, Design District

Foxyco is an upscale restaurant that serves up New American fare alongside a dedicated cocktail bar. It's the second restaurant from Jon Stevens, the man behind Stock & Barrel.
Menu items include the Herb Rigatoni (wagyu bolognese, buttered croutons and balsamic), the Lamb Rack (with mint-chile salmuera, crushed yukons and garlic aioli) and the Duck Leg Confit (with spiced prunes and melted leeks). (See the full menu here.)
The restaurant also has a wine list, plus a number of signature cocktails, such as the Peacock (Redemption Rye, Carpano Antica, bonal, benedictine and black walnut bitters) and the Simon (Tito's vodka, huckleberry, averell, fennel, lemon and smoked salt). (See the drink menu here.)
Yelpers are excited about Foxyco, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of 10 reviews on the site.
Greg S., who reviewed the new spot on May 29, said, "We sat at this great table with amazing views of downtown Dallas. The restaurant has a cool vibe that matches the inventive menu very well. ... This is definitely the kind of food I love to eat: inventive, unexpected combinations."
