The newly opened Mamasan House of Poké features a wide assortment of bowls like the ahi tuna with daikon, arugula, cashews and Hawaiian Red Sea salt.

Other options include the chicken karaage with baby kale, cucumber, lime, watermelon radish and spicy mayo; and the kula pork with shiitake mushrooms, arugula, watermelon radish, pineapple, green onion cilantro pesto and cashews.

Menu options can also be turned into a roll with a nori wrap and sushi rice. (See the full menu here.)

Alec B., who reviewed it on June 30, said, "Poke nachos are ridiculously good. Even if you're not a big raw fish person, they have amazing pork chicken and beef options also. Really good teas and margaritas and the staff is very friendly."

Poke Sushi Roll

Helmed by chef Charlie Kim, who has 30 years of experience in the culinary industry, the motto at Poke Sushi Roll is "Eat good, look good, feel good."

If you're there for poke, you can build your own with either two or three protein choices. You also select your size, base, mix-ins, sauce and toppings. You can turn any poke bowl into a salad or burrito instead. (See the full menu here.)

With a 4.5-star rating out of 23 reviews on Yelp, Poke Sushi Roll has been getting positive attention.

Yelper Magdalena D., who reviewed it on June 29, wrote, "Excellent service. Very clean. Delicious rolls! They don't necessarily have vegetarian options on their menu, but they made one for me and it was very tasty."

Poke Sushi Roll is open from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5 p.m.–9 p.m. on weekdays and noon–9 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)

Poke Bop, which also offers sushi and Asian fusion cuisine, offers build-your-own and signature bowls. It has a second Dallas location and a third outpost opening soon in El Paso.

Signature poke bowls include the Poke Bop Classic (ahi tuna, sweet onion, scallions, hijiki seaweed, cucumber, kaiware, sesame oil, sesame seeds and soy sauce) and Tommy's Special (cured salmon, seaweed salad, hijiki seaweed, mango, spicy aioli and more).   

With a 4.5-star Yelp rating out of 38 reviews on Yelp, Poke Bop is off to a promising start. 

Rebecca O., who reviewed the fast-casual spot on June 16, wrote, "This place is awesome and all of their ingredients are super fresh! All of the staff is extremely friendly and professional. I also really like how they go 'Poke Pokeeeee' every time someone walks in the door!"
