A security guard at a Tenderloin Goodwill store was seriously injured yesterday morning when he was assaulted by two robbers.
According to police, a male suspect approximately 30 years old and a woman in her twenties entered the shop at 822 Geary St. around 11 a.m. on Sunday and began filling bags with clothing and shoes.
When a 67-year-old man employed as a guard asked to check their bags, the suspects punched him "multiple times in the face," inflicting serious head injuries before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspects were not arrested.
