1. Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse
Topping the list is Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse in South Beach. The Brazilian chain specializes in churrasco, or fire-grilled meats sliced off skewers tableside, but devotees know there is much more to the menu.
Fried polenta, cheesy bread rolls and garlic mashed potatoes are among the starters, as are seasonal vegetables. There is also a buffet packed with salads, veggies, soup and feijoada — a traditional black bean stew with rice, fresh orange and yucca flour.
Located at 836 First St., it is the highest rated upscale Brazilian restaurant in Miami Beach, boasting 4.5 stars out of 426 reviews on Yelp.
2. Texas de Brazil
Next up is South Beach's Texas de Brazil, situated at 300 Alton Road, Suite 200. Another chain, Texas de Brazil also highlights its barbecued meat. Here it's also served all-you-can-eat style, brought to your table and carved by servers.
The salad bar features the usual greens along with roasted vegetables, shrimp, fish, asparagus, olives, cheese and more. With four stars out of 308 reviews on Yelp, the steakhouse and Brazilian spot has proven to be a local favorite for those looking to indulge.
3. Ofa Restaurant
Finally, there's Bayshore's Ofa Restaurant, located at 1929 Purdy Ave. Ofa is a locally owned restaurant that features the famous grilled meat, but also showcases a diverse selection of traditional and modern Brazilian cuisine. Yelpers give it 4.5 stars out of 37 reviews.
On the menu, appetizers include beef croquettes served with Brazilian nut chutney, and burrata and sausage baked with tomatoes and topped with arugula, bacon olive oil and lemon zest. For dinner, look for a rustic shrimp pot pie and the picadinho (filet mignon cubes cooked in meat sauce and served with baked plantains).
