Specializing in seafood, Cajun fare and more, Richardson restaurant Tricky Fish recently opened a second location in Dallas.
On the menu, you'll find the Tricky Fish platter (either tilapia, salmon or redfish, blackened, served with crawfish etouffee and dirty rice), the fried shrimp po'boy on a toasted French loaf, and the Abita beer-battered white fish with remoulade sauce, fries and slaw.
For drinks, pair your meal with a craft beer, wine by the glass or a seasonal cocktail. Tricky Fish also serves a brunch menu on the weekend from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
With a 4.5-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp so far, Tricky Fish has already made a good impression.
Yelper Melanie Q., who was the first to review it on Aug. 13, wrote, "From the minute you walk in to the minute you leave, you are treated like family. We started with a few drinks and the most amazing calamari I've ever had. ... My entree was the Tricky Fish, which, despite its name, is anything but tricky. It's a very simple, perfectly cooked fish."
Diane B. added, "Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, strong management presence and fresh tasty seafood at reasonable prices. Great variety of dishes, both grilled and fried."

National franchise sandwich chain Jon Smith Subs recently debuted its first outpost here. On the menu, look for sub sandwiches like the Steak Bomb (grilled marinated sirloin steak topped with provolone) and the Glazed Teriyaki Chicken (with grilled onions and mushrooms in a teriyaki honey glaze). SkyPole Fitness is a new studio that specializes in pole dancing classes.
It offers a variety of classes for different levels of fitness, including Pole Yoga, Chair Dance, Hip-Hop Cardio and FloorWork 101. (You can view the class schedule here.) First-time participants can purchase a single class pass for $10.
You can also get private lessons or schedule a pole party for a birthday or bachelorette event.
SkyPole Fitness has just one review on Yelp, which gives it a five-star rating thus far.
Emily T., who reviewed the new spot on Aug. 21, wrote, "I came to this studio to make my boyfriend an anniversary gift, and the experience I had was amazing! The owner helped me out with everything I needed for the video, like music and a camera for recording. She was so welcoming and her studio is adorable. I'm definitely coming back to take a few classes."
