Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas
2365 Victory Park Lane, Victory Park

Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas is a new theater, which offers push-button in-theater dining, fully reclining leather seats and a full bar in the lobby.
The dining menu has dishes such as pepperoni flatbread pizza, the Street Tacos (corn tortillas with beef, onion, cilantro, tomatillo salsa and a side of chiles bravos) and the Monterrey Torta with an herb-and-olive-stuffed pork loin on ciabatta bread with avocado, refried beans, tomatoes, lettuce and chipotle. With a 3.5-star rating out of 23 reviews on Yelp so far, Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas is off to an uneven start, but it's still early days.
Arlene S., who reviewed it on July 26, wrote, "In the heart of Dallas, Cinépolis has views and ambiance. It's truly hard to go to a movie theater like this and then go back to regular places. ... The movie theater itself was very comfortable."
Yelper Benjamin E. added, “Facility is amazing, but the service was absolutely unacceptable. We waited an hour for a drink and concessions and even that took bringing it to the attention of management four times."

ZiZi Ramen & Sushi
9711 Plano Road, Suite B, Northeast Dallas

ZiZi Ramen & Sushi is a new Japanese and Burmese restaurant that serves sushi, ramen and more.
The menu offers Japanese dishes like the tonkatsu and Spicy Ocean ramen soups and the Rock & Roll and Crazy Texas sushi rolls. For Burmese fare, you've got Sabuti (a soup made with corn) and mohingar (a rice noodle and fish soup).
With six reviews on Yelp thus far, ZiZi Ramen & Sushi currently has a five-star rating.
Billy S., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on July 27, wrote, "Come here if you're looking for something quick, affordable and delicious! It's basically like a Chipotle for ramen and sushi. What's unique about ZiZi Ramen & Sushi is that they also offer authentic Burmese cuisine!"
John M. noted, "Highly recommended for sushi lovers. Reasonably priced, fresh and delicious. Service was good and so was the spicy seafood ramen."

Mama Tried
215 Henry St., Deep Ellum

Mama Tried is a honky-tonk bar with live country music, country DJs and events.
According to CultureMap Dallas, the new place is named for a Merle Haggard song and has 5,500 square feet of interior space, which includes an 80-foot-long bar and stage, plus an additional 7,500 square feet out on the patio, which also has a stage and its own 40-foot shipping container to serve as a bar.
Regardless of which bar you're ordering from, it's got 24 beers on tap and a Texas-themed menu curated by chef Roe DiLeo, a former contestant on the television show "Hell's Kitchen."
Yelpers are excited about Mama Tried, which currently holds five stars out of five reviews on the site.
Yelper Lauren V., who reviewed it on July 7, wrote, "Great addition to Deep Ellum! There's a huge patio out back that I can't wait to take advantage of when the weather cools and a large indoor area with the all-important chilly AC for these ridiculously hot summer days."
Mitchy M. noted, "Good neighborhood place. Vintage country music DJs. Don't sleep on the kitchen menu. Another large patio in Deep Ellum."
Mama Tried is open from 4 p.m.–2 a.m. Monday-Thursday, 3 p.m.–2 a.m. on Friday, and 1 p.m.–2 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Izkina
2801 Elm St., Deep Ellum

Izkina is a cocktail and tapas bar located in the new Deep Ellum Hostel.
Serving up Spanish-influenced cocktails and tapas, you'll find drinks like the Señora Asesin (Absolut Elyx, strawberry shrub, lemon and cava), the Melódica (Spanish brandy, Priorat vermut, maraschino and lemon oil) and the Rosado Sangria (Grenache rose, sherry, agave and pineapple). It also has beers and wines.
Tapas include the albondegas (meatballs, sofrito and herbs), pescaditos (fried anchovies, spicy aioli and lemon), meat and cheese boards (served with house pickles, tomato jam, mustard and bread), various quesos, Spanish tinned fish and more. (See the full menu here.)
With two reviews on Yelp thus far, Izkina currently has a five-star rating.
Delilah C., who reviewed the new spot on July 21, wrote, "From the lights, to the seating, to the bar and the walls, everything was so clean and crisp. Just beautifully simple. ... I ordered two tapas from the hot plate menu, patatas bravas and pescaditos. The presentation was beautiful and the flavor was an explosion in my mouth."
Yelper Brandon N. added, "This place has such a cool vibe, like something you would imagine from a spy novel! The drinks were incredible, and the people were all chill."

The Gelato Cone

The Gelato Cone is a spot to score gelato, smoothies, dessert waffles and more. The family-owned parlor started in Europe in 1956 before migrating to the Dallas area.
Gelato flavors include dark chocolate, pumpkin, kiwi, watermelon, green apple, pomegranate, pineapple, lemon, strawberry, mango and more. For smoothies, you've got options like the Exotic Splash (pineapple, mango, banana, orange juice, coconut and yogurt ice cream) and the Happy Mix (kiwi banana, strawberry, milk, honey and yogurt ice cream).
The Gelato Cone has received a warm welcome with 4.5 stars out of 16 reviews on Yelp.
Lisa L., who reviewed the dessert shop on July 19, wrote, "The gelato itself was so smooth and rich in flavor. Everything tasted really natural, and the owner boasted about how they use quality ingredients. It's so refreshing seeing someone proud of their product. There's plenty of seating inside, and they even have a small table with chairs for toddlers."
Spencer J. noted, "I had expectations that it would be better than average, but this blew me away, like I was being served dessert at a five-star restaurant. So soft, cold and delicious, the perfect summertime treat."
