A new coffee roastery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Deco Coffee, the fresh arrival is located at 1298 N.W. 29th St. in Allapattah.
Bright white wooden tables and chairs are surrounded by turquoise walls adorned with colorful prints. Start your day with all manner of cold and hot brewed coffee drinks, wine and mimosas.
Breakfast fare on offer includes tuna patty Benedicts made with poached eggs, orange hollandaise and a breaded tuna patty; open-faced smashed avocado toast with feta, lime and basil; and omelets filled with chicken, bacon, red onions and jalapeños.
With a five-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp so far, Deco Coffee has been warmly received by patrons.
Divya A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new cafe on Sept. 15, wrote, "Cute spot for brunch or lunch. They roast their own coffee and have a full menu. I ordered the macchiato and the mushroom toast with a poached egg, which I believe is a must since the toast soaked up the runny yolk allowing it to be a little softer but not soggy. Great coffee. I definitely recommend."
Yelper Amanda M. added, “So delicious. Everything on the menu looks delicious, the Avo Smash and Arnold Palmer were a perfect Saturday breakfast. The owners have a lot in the pipeline for this place, including events, coffee tastings and more. It's definitely worth checking out."
