A new cafe, offering bubble tea and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 954 Normandy Drive, the new arrival is called Cool Monkey.
On the menu, look for a plethora of milk tea flavors, including taro, traditional, mango, cappuccino, vanilla, Thai, honeydew, chocolate, matcha, blueberry, pineapple, caramel and more. Green apple, lemon and strawberry iced teas are also available. Add-ons include tapioca balls, lychee and passion fruit.
If you're craving a sweet treat, gelato is available in a cup or waffle cone.
With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new cafe has been warmly received by patrons.
Ivan H., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 3, wrote, "They don't carry any real food items, but if you're looking for a nice sweet ending to your lunch or dinner, this is the place in the North Beach area. ... Service was very friendly and courteous and teas were done perfectly."
And Junie B. wrote, "They have the friendliest staff. Asked for a recommendation and they made me a cappuccino bubble tea that was out of this world. Delicious! Everyone was friendly and courteous."
