Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top Brazilian eateries in Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to venture when cravings strike.
1. Latinos Restaurante
Topping the list is Latinos Restaurante. Located at 1754 W. Hillsboro Blvd., the Latin American fusion spot is the highest-rated Brazilian restaurant in the area, boasting four stars out of 167 reviews on Yelp.
On the menu, offerings include choros a la chalaca, a dish of chopped mussels, onions, tomatoes, cilantro and spices; and picanha steak served with rice, beans and salad. End your meal with desserts like cheesecake or a variety of flan and mousse options.
2. Casa Do Pão Express
Next up is Casa Do Pão Express, situated at 100 S. Military Trail, Suite 23. With five stars out of 19 reviews on Yelp, the Brazilian bakery has proven to be a local favorite. The bakery's name means "house of bread" in Portuguese.
It serves empanadas like the Pastel (Parmesan-crusted dough with either ground beef and raisins, chicken and cream cheese or ham and cheese) as well as ground beef fritters, hot dog croquettes, shrimp croquettes and codfish pot pie. Cakes, flans, custards, mousses and truffles are also on offer.
3. Restaurante Brazil
Restaurante Brazil, located at 843 W. Sample Road, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the Brazilian spot four stars out of 47 reviews. Visitors can expect a cafeteria-style layout, with a salad bar, protein options and an area where they grill the meat. Customers pay based on the weight of their plates. To-go options are also available.
4. Cochic
Cochic, a steakhouse and Brazilian spot that offers burgers and more, is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 18 Yelp reviews. Check out the variety of coxinhas options, including chicken, four cheese, ham and cheese, corn and cream cheese and more. For those who are unfamiliar, coxinhas are deep-fried, drumstick-shaped treats with various fillings. Burgers, subs, salads and loaded fries are also available. Head over to 1631 S.E. 5. Padaria Brasil
Then there's Padaria Brasil, which has earned four stars out of 18 reviews on Yelp. You can find the Brazilian spot at 841 W. Sample Road. In addition to a wide array of pastry options, the shop offers coxinhas, salsicha frita (fried hot dog) and banana cake. Fruit juices in coconut, hot plum, mango, cocoa, guava and beet flavors are also available.
