There's a brand-new Japanese and Asian fusion spot in town. Located at 7211 Green Glen Drive, Suite 102, on the Northwest Side, the fresh addition is called Koi Poke.

The fast-casual eatery serves up build-your-own poke bowls and sushi burritos.

At the colorful restaurant, you choose your base (sushi rice, kale noodles or green tea rice), then proteins (such as salmon, shrimp, spicy tuna, red snapper or crispy tofu), and finally your mix-ins and sauces.

With a five-star rating out of 10 reviews, Yelpers are enthusiastic about Koi Poke.

Melissa C., who reviewed it on Aug. 29, said, "When you want a great protein fix after the gym, but sushi is too pricey and not filling. Koi Poke has the perfect pairing of fresh fish, healthy toppings and generous portions. This is the perfect fusion of island feels and a taste that won't expand your waist."

Yelper Briana P. added, "If you like sushi, you'll love this place! It's like a Chipotle for sushi lovers. The prices are decent and they have a great variety of seafood and other toppings to make your poke bowl tasty!"

Hungry? It's open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday, noon–10 p.m. on Saturday, and noon–9 p.m. on Sunday.
