Wingo's adds new location in Glover ParkPhoto: Wingo's/Yelp

A new spot to score chicken wings and more has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 2218 Wisconsin Ave. NW in Glover Park, the new addition is called Wingo's.

The longtime Georgetown institution closed temporarily last year after a fire, but plans for a second, larger location were unaffected. This Glover Park outpost serves up the same menu of wings, wraps, burgers and sandwiches. The 24 wings sauces range from the mild honey mustard and teriyaki options to the fiery Nuclear.

With the additional space, the new Wingo's gives customers a chance to sit and enjoy classic cocktails, wine or one of the 16 or so beers on tap.

Wingo's has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.

Adam G., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 1, wrote, "Everything came to the table super quickly. Two servers and a runner tended to our every need. I'd give the food four stars, but the excellent staff deserve five stars easily."

Yelper Eric K. added, “Their second location carries over everything that was at the original and adds a bar. The wings are just as good and prices are the same. The decor is nice inside, probably even nicer than needed.”

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Wingo's is open from 4 p.m.–1 a.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.–1 a.m. on Sunday.
