A new holistic treatment center has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The newcomer to Fort Lauderdale, called Zen Mind Space, is located at 1501 N.E. Fourth Ave.

According to its website, the founder and CEO of Zen Mind Space is Marla Reis, a licensed psychologist who has worked in South Florida for more than 15 years. The business offers services such as holistic therapy, restorative yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, Reiki and acupuncture.

Classes include Yoga for the Adolescent Warrior, Mood Balancing Yoga Flow, Holistic Home and Lifestyle with Essential Oils, Guided Meditation for Anxiety and much more. (Find the full class calendar here.)

With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer has already made a good impression.

Rebecca C., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 5, wrote, "Zen Mind Space is an oasis dedicated to healing. The second you walk in you're embraced with soothing sounds of water, scents of incense and a purposeful design that makes you feel like you've entered a spa. I highly recommend all the services offered."

Yelper Josue P. added, “Wonderful place to go. I had an amazing time. The atmosphere is very good and the Reiki class was incredibly good. I highly recommend it.”
