Next up is the Little Haiti's KO ZONE, situated at 301 N.W. 54th St. With five stars out of 26 reviews on Yelp, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing and muay thai spot has proven to be a local favorite.

Established in 2005, this gym trains law enforcement, pro fighters and the common athlete alike. Cardio classes, MMA, CrossFit and tactical training are all on offer at the hard-core gym. 3. The Cage Boxing Club

Brickell's The Cage Boxing Club, located at 1060 Brickell Ave., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the boxing, kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu spot 4.5 stars out of 24 reviews.

The website states that "all instructors are professional fighters with a substantial curriculum," and that The Cage Boxing Club accepts "students from all levels of experience, from beginners to competitors."

The popular 60-minute workout burns up to 1,000 calories and participants learn various heavy bag combinations while mitt and pad work is applied to optimize technical lessons and enhance conditioning and endurance.
