In search of a new favorite yoga spot?

Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top studios around Fort Lauderdale, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to go when you're on the hunt for a yoga class. 

1. The Yoga Joint - North Ft. Lauderdale

Topping the list is The Yoga Joint - North Ft. Lauderdale. Located at 6131 N. Federal Highway, it is the highest rated yoga spot in Fort Lauderdale, boasting 4.5 stars out of 60 reviews on Yelp.

Stop in for flow-centric, hot yoga classes. The large main studio is well-mirrored, and there's a boutique selling water bottles, mats and clothing.

Yoga Joint has five locations in the region, including the highly rated Yoga Joint South. Both studios also have a second, smaller studio that is kept non-heated in order to host workshops, kids' yoga and teacher training.

2. Red Pearl Yoga

Red Pearl Yoga in Flagler Village is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 27 Yelp reviews. It features an art-centered atmosphere, from murals on the outside walls to the boutique that sells locally made jewelry, ceramics and candles.

Classes offered include vinyasa, power yoga, alignment, gentle yoga, slow flow, yin, restorative, Iyengar and ashtanga. Worth noting: Red Pearl Yoga does not heat its studios. Head over to 904 N. Flagler Drive to see for yourself.

3. The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga

Over in Bal Harbour, check out The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga, which has earned four stars out of 44 reviews on Yelp. Its founder, Jimmy Barkan, has been teaching his muscle-stretching and strengthening variant of hatha yoga in Ft. Lauderdale since 1983.

The studio offers hot, warm and power yoga, including classes focused on hip mobility and mental and spiritual relaxation. You can find it next to Whole Foods at 2370 N. Federal Highway.

4. Bombay Room Yoga

Last but not least, there's Bombay Room Yoga, a local favorite with 4.5 stars out of 19 reviews. It's located at 3354 N.E. 33rd St. in Galt Mile.

It has classes in yin yoga, yin/yang, vinyasa and restorative styles. Classes are lengthy, lasting up to an hour and a half. According to its website, the instructors have received extensive training and are registered with Yoga Alliance.
