Looking for a new cocktail bar to check out? Look no further than this star-studded recent arrival. The fresh addition to Little Haiti, called Bar Bevy, is located at 90 N.E. 39th St.
With its full bar, velvet seating and VIP rooms, this Moroccan-themed lounge is a go-to spot for drinks before or after dinner. Owners David Grutman, musician Pharrell Williams, and Top Chef winner Jean Imbert teamed up to create the space.
According to its writeup in Food & Wine (which also put the restaurant on its list of biggest openings of 2018), Bevy's menu offers small bites and libations like Purity, a tequila cocktail (made with grapefruit and thyme shrub, yellow chartreuse and lemon) and Dew of the Sea, a vodka-based (with cucumber, rosemary, honey, sea water and lime).
With a four-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new cocktail bar has gotten a good response in its early days.
Lin C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Dec. 14, wrote, "Beautiful decor — it's chic Arabian with a laid-back vibe. It is a nice place to spend time with your friends, family or significant other. The DJ's music was on point and not too loud, so you can have dinner or casual conversations. I really enjoyed this place!"
And Srdjan R. wrote, "I had a kind cocktail waitress who took amazing care of my friends and me. I had a gin and tonic with muddled cucumber and chili pepper — it was magnificent. Will come back again!"
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Bar Bevy is open from 7 p.m.–3 a.m. daily.
