Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top places to hear live music in Fort Lauderdale, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture.
1. Rhythm & Vine
Topping the list is Flagler Heights's Rhythm & Vine, situated at 401 N.E. Fifth Terrace. With four stars out of 209 reviews on Yelp, the music venue, cocktail bar and lounge has proven to be a local favorite.
Rhythm & Vine is a “casual garden” that features vintage decorations and picnic tables for guests to enjoy. In addition, there is a den indoors with artwork. Cocktails, beer and other drinks are available to purchase, both indoors and outdoors. The venue also has a constant mix of local food trucks, serving throughout the week.
2. Stache Drinking Den + Coffee Bar
Next up is Sailboat Bend's Stache Drinking Den + Coffee Bar, located at 109 S.W. Second Ave., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the lounge, music venue and dance club four stars out of 194 reviews.
Opened since 2013, the venue is named after the original speakeasy owner and Wall Street executive, Charles William Stache. In 1920, during the Prohibition era , Stache would become known for the secret speakeasies he opened, including Stache Drinking Den + Coffee Bar (which originally was opened in Miami). The venue serves wine, cocktails, beer and more.
3. 27 Bar & Lounge
Lastly, over in Progresso Village, check out 27 Bar & Lounge, which has earned four stars out of 37 reviews on Yelp. You can find the cocktail bar, lounge and music venue at 835 N.E. Third Ave.
27 Bar & Lounge caters to both music and sports. The bar offers a full food menu and extensive list of spirits to choose from. There is also a patio and several games tables available. Live music entertainment events take place during the week.
