A new Mediterranean spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Rice Mediterranean Kitchen, the new addition is located at 2500 Biscayne Blvd..

According to its website, this Mediterranean eatery--courtesy of Chef Ali Shabani--prides itself on serving up healthy fare inspired by family recipes. Bowls can be customized with fresh greens, grains (like rice or lentils) and proteins plus an array of herb-infused dips (including spicy babaganoush and honey nut feta).

Choose classic kebabs made with marinated meats--chicken, sirloin steak and tenderloin--served with Greek salad and Basmati rice. Check out the full menu here.

With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, Rice Mediterranean Kitchen is on its way to developing a local fan base.

Fabiola T., who reviewed the new spot on Dec. 8, wrote, "I love this food! There are so many healthy options, and they even sell Kombucha. I love the salad bowls, the protein choices and the dips."

Yelper Pedro G. added, “The decoration is nice, and I like how they display the veggies in the bag. I just had to try the orange hibiscus and lemon cherry açaí sodas. I will definitely be coming back!”

Rice Mediterranean Kitchen is now open at 2500 Biscayne Blvd., so stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. It is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
