
A new French bakery and cafe has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called La Boulangerie Boul'Mich, the new addition is located at 2364 N. Federal Highway in Bal Harbour.
One of five locations in the area, the menu features breakfast dishes (with freshly-squeezed orange juice and coffee included), pastries, salads and homemade pastas. Try French-style gourmet sandwiches like the prosciutto and mozzarella; Provence (served hot) with tomatoes, roasted eggplant and sliced mushrooms; and the Brie (served hot) with roasted almonds and raspberry jam. You’ll also find Latin fare like empanadas, guava and cheese croissants, and a Spanish tortilla.
With a 4.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, the new bakery seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Jose A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 16, wrote, "My new favorite place — it has the best coffee and croissants in town. You have to try the eggs Benedictine, the Nutella croissant and the double espresso macchiato. I will be back!"
Yelper Daniella N. added, “Excellent food! I love the chorizo empanada, and the pastas are also amazing! It has freshly made croissants, and the Nutella one is my favorite. The staff is attentive, always available to help.”
