Next, Skinner Auctioneers & Appraisers is hosting a gallery talk this Friday regarding the Gorham Manufacturing Company, one of the country's largest manufacturers of sterling silver and sliverplate. Williams is set to speak about the silver and the upcoming RISD Museum exhibition "Designing Innovation: The Gorham Manufacturing Company, American Silver 1850-1970" that will open in May as well as the European Furniture & Decorative Arts Auction.
The free event is hosted by Elizabeth A. Williams, curator of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Book Launch: 'Winter in Paradise' by Elin Hilderbrand

Lastly, New York Times best-selling author Elin Hilderbrand comes to The Lenox Hotel this Friday evening to celebrate the launch of her new novel "Winter in Paradise."
The third title in Hilderbrand's latest trilogy follows a wife and her kids as they investigate the death of the family's patriarch, who is killed in a plane crash while visiting the Caribbean island of St. John.
Each ticket includes a hardcover copy of the book, light snacks and a free glass of wine.
