Looking to chow down on some Italian fare? A new spot has you covered. The newcomer to Flamingo/Lummus, called La Trattoria, is located at 1244 Ocean Drive.
The new eatery serves plentiful cocktails and seafood dishes, like chicken piccata and lobster ravioli, on its outdoor terrace. Lunch and dinner menus feature brick-oven pizzas with a variety of toppings, including Italian sausage and grilled barbecue chicken. There's also soups, paninis and pastas, plus bar bites during the daily 2-8 p.m. happy hour. (See the complete menu here.)
La Trattoria has gotten mixed reviews thus far, with a three-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Nicolay G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 14, wrote, "It's a friendly place right by the ocean with good food and drinks ... Pasta was delicious, and the salmon with salad perfectly cooked."
And Kathleen L. wrote, "The food is surprisingly good, some of the best we have found so far on Ocean; we ate every bite! The happy hour pricing is also very good: two-for-one giant cocktails, and 30 percent off all food."
