If healthy bowls are what you're after, look no further than this new fast-casual eatery. Called Vale Food Co., the fresh arrival is located at 420 N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. This is its fifth location, with other outposts in Tallahassee, Tampa, Gainesville and Jacksonville.
When it comes to healthy eating, Vale Food puts you in the driver's seat. Choose items from its seasonal menu or customizable bowls with bases like sweet potatoes and brown rice, proteins like chicken meatballs and sautéed shrimp, plus veggies and sauces. Other offerings include poke bowls, avocado toast and vegan-friendly and gluten-free items.
With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Vale Food has been warmly received by patrons.
Yelper Vanessa P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 23, noted that Vale passes her family's "three Bs" test: bueno (good/tasty), bonita (looks good), y barato (cheap). “My husband did the large bowl with noodles, mushrooms, ancho chicken, meatballs, spicy feta cheese and chipotle ranch sauce. After he was done, he said it was delicious!"
And Angelina R. wrote, "Huge fan! I live close by and can see myself becoming a regular. I've been twice this week since it opened. The feta turkey meatballs, veggie quinoa, green beans and balsamic tomatoes that I had today was a great combo and value for price. I couldn't stop eating it even though I was full. "
